Summer is just around the corner, and at GLCT, it means an exciting opportunity to experience the wonders of Canada while preparing for academic success. Our summer camp program, a blend of English language training and thrilling excursions, promises an unforgettable summer.

Established in 1978, GLCT has been a beacon of excellence in preparing students for Canadian and American universities. We strongly emphasize university preparation and English language training for international students. Since 1994, our Language Study and Tour Summer Camp has been a cornerstone of our offerings, drawing young people from around the globe.

Here are five incredible attractions in Toronto that represent the excitement of metropolitan life that our students access.

1. CN Tower: Toronto’s Iconic Landmark

A visit to Toronto is only complete with a trip to the CN Tower, one of the tallest freestanding structures in the world. This iconic landmark offers breathtaking views of the city and beyond.

Camp participants can ride the glass-fronted elevators to the observation deck, where they can marvel at the panoramic vistas. For the adventurous, the EdgeWalk provides a thrilling experience as they walk along the edge of the tower’s central pod, secured by a harness.

Visiting the ROM aligns perfectly with GLCT private high school‘s mission of providing a well-rounded education. Students delve into history, art, and science while enhancing their English language skills through interactive exhibits and guided tours.

3. Toronto Islands: A Natural Escape

Just a short ferry ride from the bustling city center, the Toronto Islands offer a serene retreat and various outdoor activities. The islands provide the perfect setting for students to relax and connect with nature. Campers can enjoy biking, kayaking, or simply strolling along the scenic paths. The islands are home to several beaches where students can unwind and enjoy the summer sun.

4. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada: An Underwater Adventure

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is a fascinating attraction that attracts students with its diverse marine life and interactive exhibits. From the mesmerizing jellyfish displays to the thrilling walk-through shark tunnel, the aquarium offers an immersive experience that brings the underwater world to life.
