So, what are the 4 basic language skills<\/strong><\/a>? Listening is often the first skill that language learners develop. It\u2019s critical for understanding context, recognizing pronunciation, and becoming familiar with the rhythm and tone of the language. Listening skills provide the foundation for communication, enabling students to engage in conversations and absorb information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At GLCT, our ESL program emphasizes active listening through engaging classroom activities, such as listening to native speakers, watching videos, and participating in group discussions.
