Have you ever wondered what it’s like to spend your summer learning English, exploring exciting places, and making new friends worldwide? Look no further than The Great Lakes College Summer Camp program!

At the Great Lakes College of Toronto, we’ve opened doors to Canadian and American university education for international students since 1978. In 1994, we embarked on a new journey by introducing the Language Study and Tour Summer Camp. Since then, the success and popularity of our summer camps have soared, welcoming youths from across the globe.

Our program is designed to enhance English language proficiency while ensuring that students have a memorable summer filled with adventure and learning. Here’s a glimpse into what a day at our summer camp looks like.

Start the Day off With Fun and Engaging Morning Classes

Our camp day begins with a delicious breakfast in our modern residence halls, followed by engaging English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. With a curriculum crafted by experienced, certified professionals, we aim to enhance every aspect of language learning. Classes focus on speaking, reading, writing, and listening, providing a well-rounded approach to language acquisition.

Students are grouped by proficiency level, ensuring each individual receives the attention and challenge they need to improve. The morning sessions in our summer camp program are dynamic, incorporating traditional and innovative teaching methods to keep the lessons interesting and compelling.

The Afternoons Are Spent Exploring the City and Putting Theory Into Practice

After a nutritious lunch prepared by our professional chefs, the afternoon is reserved for exploration and adventure. Depending on the camp package chosen (2, 3, or 4 weeks), our students get to visit iconic attractions in Toronto and Southern Ontario.

Imagine ascending the iconic CN Tower for breathtaking city views, strolling through the bustling Nathan Phillips Square, or soaking up the energy of Yonge-Dundas Square. Each outing allows students to practice their English in real-world settings, enhancing their learning experience.

Afternoons in our summer camp program are reserved for sightseeing and exploration.

Explore the serene High Park or the fascinating Scarborough Bluffs for a touch of nature. Museums like the Royal Ontario Museum and the Ontario Science Centre offer endless learning opportunities.

Every program includes a memorable three-day trip to Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City, immersing you in Canada’s rich cultural tapestry. Witness the grandeur of Parliament Hill in Ottawa, stroll the charming cobblestone streets of Montreal, and be captivated by the historical architecture of Quebec City. And who could forget witnessing the awe-inspiring power of Niagara Falls?
